EARN ASAAPS CREDIT
We understand
that in tight economic times, it can be hard to come
up with
the money for organizational memberships and publications.
But we want you!
More importantly, we think we can help you -- through
networking, keeping you informed, instantly linking
you to high-quality resources, and providing
professional and emotional support.
To benefit both ASAAPS and our members, we have instituted
an
Earn-ASAAPS-Credit Program whereby members and potential
members can earn credit towards a
membership and/or publications. You can earn:
$ 10
Credit for each batch of 25 ASAAPS brochures that
you
distribute to
elder/vulnerable adult abuse professionals and/or
survivors.
- plus -
$ 10 Credit for each member that
joins ASAAPS as a result of a brochure
they got from you (we will code the membership
forms)
Thus, you can be a salesperson if you like
-- talking ASAAPS up where ever you go and urging people
to join -- or you can just quietly pass a pile of
brochures around at your next elder/disabled adult community coalition
or
multidisciplinary team meeting, or put them in with your conference
materials at your
next training event. You can also see if the organizers of a conference
you
intend to attend will let you distribute there. No matter how you
do it, you
will earn credit and help us get the word out about this new organization
and
its many services.
To participate in the program, simply send your mailing information
AND HOW
MANY BROCHURES YOU WANT to Director@ASAAPS.org. If
you have one or more dates in mind when you'll be distributing the
brochures, please let us know.
Definitely let us know if you will be distributing at a conference,
as we will also
be contacting conferences and do not want to undermine your credit-earning
ability by having people fill out one of our blank forms instead
of your coded
one!
We will mail you the requested, coded
brochures, and will issue you the
credit once you email us that you have given them all
out. We routinely screen each incoming new membership
to see if there is a referral code on it, and will
automatically credit you when someone joins as a result of your distribution.
