What's a digest version?

You can receive ASAAPS email two ways. "Individual messages" forwards you each email as soon as the writer sends it. "Digest version" saves all the posts until the end of the day, then sends the whole collection to you in one or two long emails.

Please Select the list(s) you'd like to subscribed to:

ASAAPS List *:

International listserve networking professionals, advocates, survivors and family members, media, students and others who are interested in news and issues related to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect of elders and adults with disabilities.

Survivors List *:

Experiencing abuse can be a life-shattering event. This listserve gives survivors -- including family members and others who are affected by an individual’s abuse – a safe place to share what has happened and talk with other survivors about the process of emotional, physical, and practical recovery from abuse.

(Warning: We cannot verify or share the identities of subscribers. If you are involved in prosecution or if the abuser could use what you say on a list such as this – or even the fact that you get email from a list like this -- to further hurt you or someone else, please do not subscribe without taking appropriate precautions.)

Still Seeking Help List *:

A percentage of people who seek help with a situation of abuse from a public protective services organization or official (such as adult protective services, protection and advocacy services, law enforcement, etc.) do not get the help they want. If you have already made the appropriate reports and are still seeking help, this listserve provides peer support.

(Warning: We cannot verify or share the identities of subscribers. If you are involved in prosecution or if the abuser could use what you say on a list such as this – or even the fact that you get email from a list like this -- to further hurt you or someone else, please do not subscribe without taking appropriate precautions.)
