An Idaho House committee has sent a Senate-passed bill to protect vulnerable adults from sexual abuse to a vote of the full House. It provides a 25-year prison sentence and $25,000 fine for people found guilty of improper sexual conduct with someone who can't consent because of physical or mental impairment. |

Ultimately, one family won a $3.1 million lawsuit against the facility and one administrator pleaded guilty to two counts of grand theft. The rest of the charges were dropped due to the statute of limitations or insufficiency of evidence. |
