Comments: Gov. Bill Richardson has named Sandra Gardner as "the domestic violence 'czar,' to coordinate and oversee the various state programs and agencies dealing with domestic violence." The state Domestic Violence Advisory Board has also issued its final report on ways to reduce domestic violence in New Mexico. It is not clear from the article if elder abuse is considered to be under this domestic violence czar.

Residents must notify the nursing home they plan on installing the equipment, and the nursing home is required to "allow reasonable accommodation of the equipment."
