Title: State yanks license of nursing home worker accused of coverup
  • Nursing Home
  • Prosecution
Comments: There wasn't enough evidence to bring criminal charges against Jeanette Kreitel, the former director of nursing at Palisade Manor Nursing Home, but the South Dakota Board of Nursing has decided she lied to law enforcement officers and tampered with an incident report in an effort to cover up alleged physical abuse of a resident by a male staff member. Her license has been suspended. "In fiscal year 2004, the nursing board received 102 complaints and suspended or revoked 11 licenses. So far in fiscal year 2005, there have been 167 complaints, and 20 licenses have been suspended or revoked."
